Tumbuh di hutan lindung tapi yg sudah dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sekitar. Drainase lancar. Tanah berhumus.
White flower. Fruit is green and small (7mm long, dim 4mm) when young. Fruit is smaller than Loba manu. Mature fruit remains small and is deep blue-black with a slightly brown tip. Bark has brown raised dots externally. Bark color is grey-brown when mature.
Bunga putih. Buah hijau dan kecil (panjang 7mm dan diameter 4mm) ketika masih muda. Buah lebih kecil dari Loba manu. Buah muda tetap kecil dan berwarna biru gelap dengan noda coklat. Kulit mempunyai bercak coklat diluar. Warna kulit coklat keabu-abuan ketika masih muda.
