How to make "Loloh sembung" 1. Pick fresh sembung leaves, choosing leaves that are neither too young nor too old. Then, wash the leaves thoroughly. 2. Chop the washed sembung leaves into small pieces. Then, add the chopped leaves to a blender, add half a cup of water, and blend until smooth. 3. After blending, pour the leaves into a saucepan and add about 2.5 cups of clean water. Boil until about 1.5 cups remain. 4. Once the water has cooled, strain the boiled sembung leaves and pour them into a container or glass. 5. Add a little salt, sugar, and/or honey to reduce the bitterness. The boiled sembung leaf water is ready to serve. This boiled sembung leaf water is called Loloh Sembung by the Balinese and is a drink or traditional medicine for coughs and colds.
