Baccaurea recemosa, or menteng, Is a fruit plant that belongs to the Phyllanthacdeae familly. and has lots of small fruit and the flesh of the fruit is pink. And this plant has benefits for natural dye proces, usually the part this plant used for natural proces is the bark. And in Bali, this plant is called kepundung, and the fruit can be eatten directly when it is ripe.
Baccaurea racemosa, atau Menteng, merupakan suatu tumbuhan buah buahan yang masuk ke dalam family Phyllanthaceae, dan memiliki buah kecil-kecil yang banyak, dan daging buahnya bewarna merah muda. Dan tumbuhan ini memiliki manfaaat untuk proses pewarna alam, biasanya bagian yang digunakan dari tanaman ini untuk proses pewarna yaitu bagian kulit kayunya. Dan di Bali tumbuhan ini disebut kepundung, dan buahnya bisa dimakan langsung ketika sudah matang.

The outer bark from this plant is used as a mordant for producing red dye by the Tenganan dyers and weavers similar to how Symplocos is used.
