The outer part of the stem is stripped, chopped and used in the oiling/mordant process. This method is unique to Ina Koro. Dyers in this village have different methods of dyeing.

The bark of the root is added to water. After some time the threads are added to the water to wash threads before they are dyed blue.
Kulit akarnya dimasukan kedalam air untuk direndam. Kemudian benang dimasukam kedalam rendaman tadi untuk mencuci benang sebelum dilakukan proses pencelupan warna biru.
