The mature leaves are used in the oiling/mordant process. This plant not used in Tapobali in the dyeing/mordanting process but according to TC it is in the same family as Meko-meko (IMM2) in Timor.
Daun tua dipakai dalam proses mordant. Tumbuhan ini tidak dipakai di Tapobali dalam pewarnaan. Menurut Tony Cunningham, tumbuhan ini satu family dengan Meko Meko di Timor (IMM 002).
