Indigo (Indigofera suffruticosa) is an upright twig shrub native to tropical regions. This species belongs to the leguminosae family, and in Indonesia this plant usually called Nila, grows in dry and highly disturbed areas, and usually grows on roadsides and empty land. apart from that, Nila (Indigofera suffruticosa) is usually used as a natural dye to obtain indigo/blue color.
Indigo ( Indigofera suffruticosa ) adalah semak bercabang tegak yang berasal dari daerah tropis. Spesies ini masuk kedalam family leguminosae, dan di Indonesia tanaman ini biasa disebut Nila, tumbuh di daerah kering dan sangat terganggu, dan biasanya tumbuh di pinggir jalan dan lahan kosong. Selain itu Nila (Indigofera suffruticosa) biasanya dimanfaatkan untuk bahan pewarna alam alami untuk memperoleh warna indigo/biru.
