Fruit of Jernang are used for colouring the bamboo or rattan before it weaves to make a basket. The fruit are boild in water.
Buah jernang digunakan untuk mewarnai bambu atau rotan sebelum dianyam menjadi basket. Buah direbus hingga air berwarna merah, lalu zat zat merah yang berada di permukaan air rebusan diambil sedikit demi sedikit dengan batang kayu lalu dipakai untuk mewarnai bambu atau rotan.
