Leaves are used medicinally, used to expel unclean blood from woman after giving birth, and also for child.
Daun dipakai sebagai obat untuk mengeluarkan darah kotor sehabis melahirkan. Daun direbus, air rebusan disiram ke tubuh ibu yang baru melahirkan sambil dipijat dari bagian leher hingga ke bagian kaki. Demikian juga untuk memandikan bayi, daun direbus dan airnya dipakai untuk memandikan bayi yang baru lahir.
