Species highly favoured by batik dyers throughout Indonesia for its rich golden brown color. The bark is stripped from the mangrove tree and is boiled and the the water is used for the dyeing process.
Jenis ini diincar banyak pencelup batik di seluruh Indonesia untuk mendapatkan warna coklat keemasan. Kulitnya diiris dari pohonnya lalu direbus. Air rebusan dipakai untuk mencelup kain batik.
